Do you take any medications for your Dystonia? I was just diagnosed, and I have botox coming up, but I have 24/7 migraines, confusion, forgetfulness... They didn't offer any medications but I see that there are some available?

I am excited to see you have gotten such great results. My doctor has added more botox each visit (which is every 90 days) and narrowed the range of where the injections go. Initially, he did bilateral injections all over the back of my neck and shoulders. Now we are on one side exclusively in a much smaller area on my neck and shoulders. The results have gotten better and better. My question for you is this. How many units of botox do you get injected and is the injection only in one spot on your neck like the video shows? Or, did the doctor/technician do other spots on your neck that the video didn't show? I want to play sports again like you mention below and i am not there yet. if you are getting those kind of results, i am going to push my doctor to follow the course of action your health care provider initiated. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I got my first Botox jabs on the day I saw Prof Bhatia - although I had previously been seen by a Dr 4 weeks earlier who had done an initial assessment. He asked about family medical history, the history of my neck problem and what medication I had previously been prescribed - and by whom. When is your appointment?

Hello Mr. Pidgeon, I am from Nepal too. I have been suffering from focal dystonia on my right hand with writing problem, called as "writer's cramp" here in youtube though many doctors whom I showed the problem were totally unaware of the problem. It has been 9 years since I had the problem. It is difficult to write - my hand crawls and gives involuntary type of motions. Unlike my left hand, my original writing hand - the right one feels the problem only with the pen but not with other objects.
